Being an individual with very sensitive skin and having had previous bad reactions from products that promised the world I am always on the lookout for something that will deliver maximum results without irritating my skin.
As I do with most forays into new products I opted for a travel-sized set. Since I was looking to evolve my nighttime skincare routine I decided on the Drunk Elephant’s nightbright™ duo which includes: T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Night Serum and Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil which promises to smooth and nourish the skin overnight for a youthful glow by morning. I also selected a sample of the Lala Retro Whipped Cream moisturizer.

What I Like About It
As a newly 30 something girl I have become very focused on anti- aging and keeping my skin healthy and glowing. This for me meant stimulating my skins natural collagen production in the kindest way possible. This serum completely delivered and revitalized my skin.
I have to admit when it first arrived, even after reading and watching all the reviews, I was still a little intimidated at the idea of glycolic acids but this product dispelled every shred of doubt I had. I could not believe how effective this serum was and how my skin changed virtually overnight. Its gel like consistency was easy to apply and soaked readily into my skin. The AHA/BHA blend including Glycolic, Lactic, Tartaric, Citric and Salicylic acids blended with raspberry extract, does exactly what is promises “an effective and precise chemical exfoliation without the harsh side effects like dryness or sensitization.” This is in due to the plant extract ingredients like horse chestnut and white tea that helps sooth the skin.
Suddenly my skin just looked more radiant, fresh and just downright healthy. In fact, I liked it so much that within a week I was no longer wearing foundation because my skin looked just THAT GOOD!
If you are looking for a real game changer for your skincare this is THE ONE. I will definitely be repurchasing again and again.

What I Like About It
I have always been a little skeptical of oils because I worry about clogged pores and greasy feeling skin. This oil was transformative for me. I was thrilled to find out that it was anti-microbial while still remaining nutrient rich. My skin felt so hydrated it was almost bouncy. I have used it alone and in combination with LaLa Retro and more often with my TLC Framboos in my nighttime routine. I even sometimes use a little on my lips if they are feeling dry. After my many uses my skin just keeps looking younger and younger, in my opinion this oil is a MUST HAVE to add to your skincare routine.

African Oil Blend: marula nourishes, and rejuvenates skin; high in antioxidants and omegas 6 and 9; mongongo is a super-antioxidant oil that moisturizes and defends from environmental aggressors; baobab is rich in vitamin c and provides moisturizing, antioxidant and soothing benefits; kalahari melon is a super moisturizing and rejuvenating oil that contains a very high level of omega-6 acids, ximenia is rich in vitamin c, and very nourishing and moisturizing; passion fruit is rich in essential fatty acids and vitamin c, and helps to brighten skin.
What I Like About It
This moisturizer has been an absolute life saver this summer. It has kept my skin hydrated and healthy in these warm summer months and sinks into my skin instantaneously. I love how luxurious is feels and don’t even get me started on how excited I am that it comes in airtight container which keeps my ingredients fresh so they can give me maximum benefits (a packaging perk found in many of DE’s items which I am absolutely obsessed with). The airtight pump allows just the right amount of product to be expelled so not one bit goes to waste. l think the price is right for the amount of product you get and the innovative packaging. If you are in the market for a new moisturizer I would highly recommend giving this one a try.
Other Niceties About Drunk Elephant
The stance D.E. takes on harmful ingredients and its elimination of them in their products – their “Blacklist” - if you want to learn more about ingredients to avoid see their list here. Final Thoughts
DE founder Tiffany Masterson states on each package that “I wanted something that didn’t exist…so I made it myself.” this type of innovation and vision is inspiring and I for one am sure glad she did create this amazing line. I am a believer and will continue to love these products and this brand for a long time to come and cannot wait to see what they come up with next.
