With the surprise announcement of the changes to the Sephora Beauty Insider Rewards program  Sephora decided to give us insiders an appreciation event. Or in other words a great excuse to celebrate by picking up seasonal favourites, restock your necessities and not deny yourselves those items that have been waiting on your wishlist. WHAT IS IT & WHATS NICE ABOUT IT?

An added Beauty Event sale to accompany the changes to the Sephora Beauty Insider Rewards program and let’s be honest another reason to shop all your favourite beauty products and save some dollars.

Watch your inbox and check your mailbox as offers are often sent out via both forms, this will have your code to save your cash.

TIMES TO SHOP

Your Beauty Insider status (BI, VIB or VIB Rouge) determines the dates you are able to access the sale and the discount you receive.

Rouge: Friday August 24th to Monday September 3rd
VIB and Insider: Thursday August 30th to Monday September 3rd

These offers will be available in Canada and at Sephora JCPenny stores.

One other thing I wanted to make sure you are aware of are the… EXCLUSIONS

There are some with this sale. This promotion offer cannot be combined with any other promotional offers and is not valid on purchases of Dyson. Clients are limited to three Drunk Elephant-branded items per transaction and three Tatcha-branded items per transaction.

I personally have never seen stipulations like this on the sale. However, after some research I did find out on several other blog sites that apparently every time a store had a sale they do have to have permission from all brands they sell to discount their products. Since that is the case some of these stipulations may be a little more reasonable considering the brands have agreed to another amount of time where their products can be discounted. However, I am still not thrilled by amount of products being limited. Also, another difference with this sale is that the code itself can only be used ONE TIME. Which has caused some people to become frustrated as some people often like to use the code multiple times especially if items get restocked or they find items later that they missed. 

My suggestion would be the same as it is every other sale, make your list, check it twice and maximize your savings by prepping and shopping early so you don’t leave any stone unturned when it comes to deals. 

If you do happen to be one of the lucky ones to live close enough to a Sephora store you are in luck because you are able to shop in store with the code as many times as you wish. Be sure to check your email to get your store barcode.
