For my first foray into cream blushes WOW did I pick a good one.
I picked up Honey Thief (staple peach) & Sandy Cheeks (burnt peach).
Melt Cosmetics Cream Blushlight
CAD $29.00 USD $25.00
WHAT IS IT & WHAT’S NICE ABOUT IT?
This cream blush formula is in both natural and pearl textures and gives you the most natural but glowing flush. It is also a multiuse product as it can be applied to the cheeks and lips creating a stunning monochromatic look. It is also gluten and cruelty-free.
APPLICATION REFLECTION & EXPERIENCE
I have loved these blushes from first application. They come in stunning hues and are super pigmented. They apply smoothly and blend out beautifully. I even enjoy the smell as well it is a makeup smell but also sweet and vanilla inspired without feeling too fragranced. I also love the packaging it is easy to open, looks sleek and you get a good amount of product in the unit itself.
You can apply the product with your fingers, a beauty blender or a blush. Personally I prefer a stippling blush as it allows me to control the colour placement. For lip application I prefer my fingers or a lip brush.
For extended wear I either like to layer it with another blush or my favourite powder ( Hourglass Veil™ Translucent Setting Powder ).
I was always concerned previously about cream products being difficult to use or that the ingredients would irritate my skin. I was surprised to find that I was reaching for this product time and time again because of its ease of use, flawlessly natural look and that it felt barely there on my skin and did not irritate it in the slightest. Another bonus is that it gradually wears away throughout the day so removal is a breeze.
FINAL THOUGHTS
These blushes are completely worth your investment if you are looking to dive into a creamy beachy glow vibe for these summer months.
