My sensitive eyes are very particular when it comes to mascara,
but since I’ve had such success with Victoria Beckham Beauty products, I knew I had to trust and try the mascara.
WHAT IS IT
Future Lash Mascara is an ultra-black, lengthening and defining mascara that conditions lashes like hair with VB's proprietary C2 Complex. Giving you a lustrous and lifted lash look that is smudge-free, sweat-proof, long-wearing that then rinses away effortlessly with just warm water.
WHAT’S NICE ABOUT IT
Future Lash is a cutting-edge clean formula with a silky formula that doesn’t clump or flake, and hydrates and conditions lashes to strengthen them over time.
Most traditional mascaras use harsh ingredients like PVP (used in old school hairspray) and vinyl polymers that can leave lashes heavy, stiff and brittle which causes breaking and flaking. Future Lash instead uses plant-derived polymers to create a more flexible volume that transforms your natural lash for fanned out, extension-like length, locked-in lift with ingredients you can feel good about.
In fact what also drew me to this formula was the idea that this mascara is like ‘Hair Care for Every Lash’. It’s plant-based C2 Complex that nourishes, conditions, and provides breakage protection for longer, stronger, healthier lashes immediately and with continued use. It also includes the following ingredients which assist in this process:
Shea Butter nourishes and conditions your lashes and hair follicles, ultimately supporting the growth of strong, healthy hair
Niacinamide (vitamin B3) helps avert eyelash breakage and aids in the production of keratin, a protein which helps with hair growth
Panthenol (pro-vitamin B5) acts as a humectant and hydrates lashes to keep them supple to prevent breakage
Pistacia Lentiscus Gum, derived from sap of a tree native to the Greek Isles, naturally adds volume and lift
Tocopherol (vitamin E) conditions and nourishes lashes

APPLICATION REFLECTION
Since the brush was a little different I decided to follow the instructions from the website which suggest that you start by swiping the inner curve of the Micro-Bristle Brush from root to tip to evenly coat lashes for a look that is lifted, fanned, and fluttery.
Then you add additional volume by adding more product with the outer curve of the brush, concentrating on the roots, for added lift and definition.
What’s great is that the micro bristles really do find those hard to reach tiniest of lashes and coat them readily.
It gives a very defined lash look - lifted, fluttery and full.
The formula is so smooth it goes on easily and does not clump or flake no matter how many coats I apply to get just the right look. It wore beautifully throughout the day and night.
I was most interested in testing its exclusive water-activated Instant Removal Technology that allows the mascara to seamlessly detach from lashes, transform into tiny water-soluble filaments that gently rinse away entirely and will not bioaccumulate in the environment. The removal process was the easiest I’ve ever experienced. It rinses away effortlessly with warm water, no cotton pads, no remover & no tugging as my precious little lashes trying to remove every bit of product.
Also, after a few weeks of consistent use my lashes actually do feel longer, stronger and silkier.
FINAL THOUGHTS
Once again, the luxury performance and clean beauty with this brand wins the day. This mascara delivers on all counts. It is perfect for every day or night. If you’re looking for a dramatic lash this probably isn’t your perfect match but if you are looking for fluttery, full, strong, silky lashes this is your new best friend. A makeup must have that will live in my collection from this moment on.
