Pack It Up, Pack It In - Let Me Begin…

It’s that time of year again for lots of good times and getaways but before you can get there you have to …pack * insert collective groan here*

Don’t Panic! … I have a solution – what’s my secret?  Two words... Packing Cubes.

This is not an understatement – these items have singlehandedly revolutionized the way I prepare and pack for a trip.  They keep me organized, keep my clothes looking great from arrival, through my travels and most importantly save me time so I can get out and enjoy my vacations instead of rifling through my suitcase trying to find all the pieces to get me put together.

So What Are They?

They are an individual or set of lightweight packing devices in various shapes and sizes that help an individual organize and protect their items while also conserving space. (I know, sounds pretty good right?)

How It All Started

The brand I kept seeing all over travel articles gaining rave reviews while searching for a new packing solution was Eagle Creek (http://www.eaglecreek.com/) so I made my first purchase and my world was changed.

I started my set with the Eagle Creek Pack-It Original™ Cube Set (XS/S/M) US $27.95 and upon seeing how wonderful they were almost immediately purchased the Pack-It Original™ Compression Cube Set (S/M) $36.95. Although I love them both I would have to say that personally the compression cubes are my favorite as they allow me to pack more outfit options while saving more space in my suitcase.

How do I know these really work?

Well, I am and always have been an over-packer - we are talking a large suitcase for a night away and I was no stranger to a busted zipper or two on suitcases. These helped me pack for a week in Italy IN A CARRY ON – if that’s not magic… I don’t know what is.

I also recommend checking out not only the Eagle Creek Website for packing videos and ideas but YouTube was my go to for all the tips and tricks when it comes to these little wonders.

What’s Nice?

Just about everything… plus a lifetime and “no matter what” warranty.

I have put mine through the ringer and they look brand new. They are exceptionally well crafted and well worth the money.

With a variety of sizes, styles and colours there is an option that will work for you. This flexibility meant a lot to me because it allowed me to choose what would best suit my needs. Everything can be mixed and matched to a traveller or vacationers desire.

What’s Not So Nice?

The only downside is unless you do live near a parcel pickup location in the United States or can find the set you like on amazon.ca Canadians are out of luck as currently the Eagle Creek Website does not internationally ship to our destination (which I am very much hoping changes very soon *hint hint*). You can however order some Eagle Creek items the Canadian way here. 

What Else Is There?
